Dancers of the Living Earth – Romania

Our human rhythms are also universal rhythms. And the rhythms of nature are also beating in us. We are one with the universe, with nature, if we let it happen, if we follow the rhythms. With slightly less struggle and slightly more attunement we can find our harmony with the forces of the living Earth.

The rhythms of the 5Rhythms map are everywhere, weaving through nature. Flowing is in the fertile ground, water seeping into cracks, roots reaching deep, searching for nourishment. Staccato is in the sunlight, clear energy feeding life. Chaos is in the rich diversity of species, ecosystems, gaia. Lyrical is in the beauty of flowers, in the gracefulness of deers, in the songs of birds. Stillness is in the circle of life, in the passing away, decomposing and rebirth.

On this workshop we’ll work with Gabrielle Roth’s map of the five rhythms to explore our connection to nature. We’ll invite bodily movements, we’ll awaken our senses, we’ll search, explore, feel, experience. And through the experiences of the body we’ll gently move closer to a fulfilling connection with the Earth. Finding our roots in the ground, finding our sunshine loving green leaves, finding our wings in the sky – as we nurture our connection with nature we inevitably find more balance, more harmony and more purpose in ourselves. We, modern western people, are separated from nature by our culture, technology and lifestyles. We need a lot of work to heal this separation. And when we do that, the reward is worthwhile. When we become well connected to nature, we’ll be able to move with it, we’ll be able to join the dance of the grass and trees, we’ll become dancers of the Living Earth.

No previous experience with the 5Rhythms or other forms of conscious movement is necessary.

When?
From Saturday, August 2 at 16:00 until Wednesday, August 6 at 13:00.
There will be 1-2 dance sessions per day = 10:00 – 13:00 and 16:00 – 19:00 (however, times may change depending on group dynamics).

Where?
The location is near Cluj International Airport. The dance hall is part of the complex Cabana La Ionel (within Măguri Răcătău village), 43 km from Cluj. Places are in multi-bedded rooms, but we will probably be able to accommodate two people per room. The bathrooms are shared and there is limited hot water for showers. We will organize by car and, if needed, we can also organize minibus transportation from Cluj to the location and back at the end of the workshop (for a fee).

PRICE
500 Eurofor the 4-day workshop plus 12 meals (ovo lacto vegetarian) and 4 nights accommodation in cabins with multiple beds in the room

The total price consists of:
The price of the workshop is 330 Euro (approx. 1650 RON), payable to the organizer (Dana Costea) in RON at the BNR exchange rate on the day of payment.
To reserve your place, you have to pay the non-refundable deposit for the workshop = 80 EUR/ 400 RON, and the rest of 250 EUR/ approx. 1250 RON by July 15.
Accommodation and meals at the venue (Ionel’s Cabin, 4 nights accommodation in cabins with several beds in the room and shared bathroom/shower) = 170 Euro/ 850 RON, to be paid separately in RON to the host.

Other workshop price reductions:

• for 2 people booking together = 10% discount from the workshop price (not including accommodation and food);
• for 3+ people booking together = 15% discount on the workshop price (not including accommodation and food);
